The worlds of business, politics and crime collide in contemporary Dublin when two men with the same name, from the same family, die on the same night – one death is a gangland murder, the other, apparently, a road accident. Was it a coincidence? That’s the official version of events. But when a family member, Gina Rafferty, starts asking questions, this notion quickly unravels.
I liked this book but only in parts. It has a very contemporary feel, the  gangland murders, corruption in politics and business BUT something was missing.    The second half of the book dragged.  It would have been a tighter read had it been edited by 100pgs.  I also would like to know whose idea it was it italise some words/sentences – emphasising the point, the feeling etc…. please try and trust the reader, we can and do get it.  It really takes from the book and the story. And for a book just published some of the cultural referencing is already out of date.  Does that matter, a little bit, I think.
